In Haiwan Park there is a very good restaurant, Me and you 2, where you can eat very good and they It's lovely to jog around here at night - lots of open space, the sea, and some hills to run up and The Haiwan Park is located near the sea-side and offers some great bar-restaurant with good food and live music!
During the day it's good for walking in the green! There is a bus stop called Haiwan Park if you want to go there by public transportation or you simple take a taxi! If you are looking for a nice walk in the park followed by a nice dinner and drinks with live music this is the place to go to. There is even a small luna-park. All these places are equipped with big outside terraces. Sitting on the sea-side on a terrace with for example a nice beer in your hand can be very nice.
In general the food is good with something for everybody's taste. The live music is sometimes a little loud which makes it difficult to communicate but still, nice! In this area you will find no shops. A nice park to go! Nicely landscaped park near the ocean. Ok beaches and a Foreigner hang out at the many Western Style bars along the beach.
The rides there were just scary, not so many of them to begin with, just three or four and they looked a bit shabby, i didn't dare to go on any of them. The night life is quite exciting though, the walk along the beach was beautiful with all those bars that have live music! Okay, okay, they aren't strip clubs.
They are 'Hostess Bars'. Same difference. One of my coworkers was really really excited to see this place. He had found it in an ex-pat forum as 'the place to go' for ex-pats in Xiamen.
